Odyssey & Yve, started in 2012 in Reno, Nevada, is the brainchild of Mary-Ann Andrews, proudly named after her daughters, Odyssey and Yvette. Odyssey & Yve is an African-American family-owned small business.
Mary-Ann began sewing at the age of 5 when, after asking for a needle and thread to make doll clothes, her father taught her how to use a sewing machine. She fell in love! Over the years, she has done countless alterations for her clients, crafted wedding and special occasion wear, designed prototypes for children's headboards, and will tackle projects that most seamstresses find boring. When making wedding or bridesmaid dresses, she would use leftover fabric to craft handbags for that special day. Nothing bothered her more than to see one of the ladies walk through the door with a purse over her shoulders that clashed with that beautiful dress! This gave her the idea to create unique purses and handbags from repurposed fabrics and materials.
Mary-Ann was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, has three wonderful children, Myke, Yvette and Odyssey, and five grandchildren, Arionne, Amir, Kenrick, Noah and Chavous, who affectionately call her "Nana." All of her children and grandchildren inherited the "entrepreneurial and creativity" gene, and share in creating unique items for Odyssey & Yve.
Beauty, of course, is in the eye of the beholder, but quality should never be a compromise. No matter what you're looking for, Odyssey & Yve strives to provide customers with quality goods and services. Our commitment is to provide you with the highest level of customer service because we understand that we are privileged to have your business.
